Getting free Twitter followers is a slow and sometimes frustrating process that some folks think they can get around by buying followers. What you have to remember before you go spend your hard earned cash on followers is that having a massive following on Twitter is one thing having a Twitter account with an ENGAGED following is a totally different thing all together.
While there are lots of applications that will help you grow your free Twitter followers the one I use is Crowdfire. When I started using the service my goals was simple. Grow my twitter account as quickly as possible by about 100 followers per day. While someday's the count was far less there where days where I doubled that daily goal.
This blog post is simply a break down on my Crowdfire free Twitter followers growth process.
Once you have figured out the Crowdfire interface the first thing you want to do is to copy the followers of a prominent account in your industry/niche. For example if you are interested in online marketing I would simply go to the Twitter search box and type in ‘online marketing'.
Once you have a result click on Accounts link and take a look at which accounts look like they may have people that are in your niche and may want to hear your message.
In this case Mashable is the account I selected and I would use the account name @mashable in the CopyFollowers box of CrowdFire
At this point you will get listing of all the Twitter accounts that follow the twitter account @mashable. Simple click on the green button to follow the accounts you want. Depending on how the Twitter algorithm affects you will determine how many actual accounts you can follow. In CrowdFire you will know when you've hit the Twitter follow limit because you will not be able to follow any more accounts.
CrowdFire has another feature that I like called KeywordFollow. Its the similar to typing a keyword or hashtag into the Twitter search box on www.twitter.com and getting a listing of accounts that are associated with that keyword.
After about 24 hours a portion of the accounts that I have followed will follow me back and I will go through my list of non followers in, CrowdFire, and delete EVERYONE that is not following me back.
Simple click the red button on every account to unfollow that account. At that point I start the process of following accounts again.
As with anything online your mileage may vary. My results may not equal your results.
Building any business online will require the use of systems in order to leverage your time and effort. The system that I use and where I got this training from is called MLSP. If you are not using a marketing system to grow your system then how the heck are you growing your business?
To your success…
